Based on a publication by Sir John Sorrell, now in its second edition, Creative Island looks at the extraordinary range and quality of design in Britain today; including work from over 25 design disciplines – from architecture and engineering to fashion and jewellery, from new media and graphics to theatre and retail design, and many more. It explores the current wealth of inspired design from established practices working around the UK, alongside new ideas and talent emerging from the University of the Arts London. It captures the energy and diversity of the UK’s world-class creative community, which is showcased and celebrated every year at the London Design Festival.
